rootEd Alliance Partnership Expands Postsecondary Opportunities for TSD401 Students Teton Valley News

Teton School District 401's partnership with rootEd Alliance is helping students at Teton High School and Basin High School plan their futures — with one-on-one advising, scholarship support, and real-world career exploration. Now in its fifth year, the program has helped the Class of 2026 secure nearly $5 million in scholarships, making TSD401 the only district in Idaho with a dedicated rootEd advisor.

TETON VALLEY — College and career advisors from across Alaska are gathering in Anchorage Sept. 3-5, 2025, for the rootEd Alaska Advisor Training Conference. The three-day convening, part of the Alaska Career Guide initiative, will offer professional development, practical tools, and statewide collaboration to help rural high school seniors graduate on a path to well-paying careers aligned to regional workforce needs.

Truth in the numbers; high school program promotes post-graduate planning

Teton High School stands as a lone lighthouse in the state for seniors as the school participates in the rootEd Alliance program, which employs a teacher to specifically work with high school seniors on post-graduate plans including work, college, and trade school. According to Post Secondary Advisor Mr. Russ Tibbitts, 87% of the seniors will be pursuing a trade or attending college after graduation, and 13% of the seniors will go right into the workforce.
