Alaska
In the 2026-27 academic year, rootEd Alaska is serving more than 70 rural schools across the state and has served approximately 500 seniors since launching in 2024.
rootEd Alaska is part of the Alaska Career Guide initiative, a public–private partnership among the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD), the Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), the Bristol Bay Regional Career and Technical Education (BBRCTE) Consortium, and Sealaska Heritage Institute. Together, we align education and workforce services, grounding the work in Alaska's cultural and regional strengths.
